When it rains, it pours

Updated: Sep 2, 2022

I'm glad I got there when I did!

Just after 4, I pulled into the parking lot of the high school to pick up my son from band camp.

The sky was cloudy, and the second he got into the car and shut the door we were engulfed in a heavy downpour.

Just think, if I had waited just one more minute, I would have one wet and grouchy teenager on my hands.

Timing is "everything" - but at the same time I try not to worry too much about it...

People will be ready to do business with you when they're ready. You can't control their timeline any more than you can control the weather.

Just this summer I had one client kick things off as if we would be producing content at a breakneck speed, so I proceeded to write ten articles for her and got going on the next ten. But then, it turned out that the company wasn't ready to go that fast and so now I am just really far ahead.

Two other people want to work on ongoing projects together, and we're working out the details.

And in the meantime, I am putting together a website for my new band, using LeadPages. I was happy to learn that LeadPages has expanded what they can do, so you can not only make a lead magnet, but you can also create a full-blown website.

For me, when I start any venture, the main purpose of a website is to collect leads so that I can keep in touch with people who are interested.

When your customers hear from you on a regular basis, you will be the one they think of when they are ready to buy.

If you need an easy-to-use platform to collect leads or build I website, I recommend LeadPages.
